Colour within Images
Name: Annarasumanara
Author: Ha Il-Kwon
Format: manga
3 Volumes (Complete)
Annarasumanara is a manga about a school girl called Yoon Ah-ee, who is struggling to support both her and her sister. After an encounter with the magician in the abandoned theme park, Yoon Ah-ee desperately wants to follow her dream.
This is done mainly in black and white, with bursts of colours every now and again. This, to me, is wonderful because the colours become more alive, bright and vibrant. This brings a new light on the colours, making them stand out against the black and white drawing background.
The story, itself, makes you admire the colours. It seems that the colours used within this manga is a big part because the colour is opening the eyes of the characters within the manga but also the people who are reading the story. The colours take you on a journey through the story and pulls you in.
