Grapus was founded in 1970 by a group of people, these included Pierre Bernard, Gerard Paris-Clavel and Francois Miehe. after that they added a couple of new members, Jean-Paul Bachollet and Alex Jordan, however they did lose Francois Miehe as a member in 1978. throughout the years Grapus continued as communists

and idealists. I prefer most of their work because its unique, rough and ready. However, there is some pieces of work where I find it confusing but this may be my understanding for the subject they are conveying.
They was a small group of artists that are members of the communists party and they maintain an explicit political, social and culture engagement. They was the first to reject the assignment with the commercial government clients. they was a small group of artist but when they got to about 20 people they started to sigh they work as "Grapus"
